Movie Poster Project
Take a moment to reflect on your life. Our culture has created such a rapid moving lifestyle, and that means many of us forget the little things. We create a daily routine that becomes so repetitive it all begins to mesh together. What if one day the world took a complete turn from the reality we all know? What if some of us disappeared while others remained on earth? The truth is we don’t know the time or day that our life on earth is going to end, but we do know that life is incredibly short.
It happened on June 4th, 2020 when the world began to disappear. It started like any other day; the bustling city of Manhattan was just waking up and J.P. Morgan’s treasurer Jerry Pierce was headed to the most important meeting of his career. Jerry had a life that would make people envious. He was an extremely successful businessman and had an amazing family life. So, he approached this meeting with nothing but complete confidence. Meanwhile, Katy Ward had a life totally opposite of wealth and confidence. She was constantly looking for odd jobs in order to support her family. Her husband, Tom Ward, left their family nearly five years ago. Today, however, he planned to visit his family that he has been neglecting for so long.
What everyone was unaware of was that in an abandoned warehouse a man by the name of Mike Noll had been conducting an experiment for over ten years. This research would allow you to identify your time of death and ultimately stop it. It wasn’t until about three o’clock pm that the experiment was finally completed. The results of his experiment were unbearable. The death date for nearly everyone on earth was in fact June 4, 2020. Mike couldn’t fathom how this could be accurate, but he knew that all of his calculations had added up correctly.
As the day proceeded, Mike was debating what he should do about this experiment. He didn’t think he was going to be able to announce his research until later on when news stations began to find interest in it. Now he was running out of time and the vast majority of the population could die in mere seconds.
Four people were left abandoned on earth, when everyone vanished from earth. The questions that lingered in these four people’s mind would begin to be answered as they find out a little more about each other, and the experiment that had been conducted. They couldn’t wrap their heads around why they were the only ones left and what exactly happened to the rest of the population. Did they really die, or did they disappear somewhere that they could come back from? The one-second of their day that changed everything for them was going to give them a whole new perspective on their meaning of life.
